Layout 1.0

Layout 1.0

This layout was coded by a mixture of hand coding and Netscape Composer, Front Page and CuteHTML. The media pages were hand coded with PHP. The images on the page are courtesy of thePHOTOBOX. The link text font is 'Bernhert', and the 'Layout 1.0' font is 04b21.

Layout 2.0:

Layout 2.0

This layout was coded entirely by hand and is entirely PHP to help with updating future layouts. I used CuteHTML as my plain text editor and the header image is courtesy of thePHOTOBOX. The site font is Book Antiqua, and the header text is Scriptina for the capital letters and Miss Brooks for the rest. And of course, the 'Layout 2.0' font is 04b21.

Layout 3.0:

Layout 3.0

This layout was coded by hand with PHP extensions, and it had a complete overhaul of internal coding (I started using a .htaccess file to prevent hotlinking and CGI scripts for various things). The header image is a screencap that I colorized and extended on the left side, and the color theme was dark blue, dark red and tan. The text on the header is Scriptina for the capital letters and Miss Brooks for the rest, and the Layout 3.0 text is 04b21.

Layout 3.1:

Layout 3.1

This layout followed the same basic design as Layout 3.0, without any major overhauls or re-codings (I'm working on that, though). The header image was made using a photo of Lucy at the wardrobe, and was colorized and edited slightly to fit the layout scheme. The color themes was tan, brown and mauve. The text on the header is Scriptina for the capital letters and Miss Brooks for the rest, and, as per usual, the "Layout 3.1" text is 04b21.

Layout 3.2:

Even though spring is here, I decided to go back to a wintery-ice theme for the next layout. The header image is a screencap from the EE and has been extended and edited a bit to acheive the end result. The color theme is blue-green and white. The text on the header is Scriptina for the capital letters and Miss Brooks for the rest, and, as per usual, the "Layout 3.2" text is 04b21.

Layout 3.3:

Layout 3.3

To celebrate the PC teaser trailer coming out (and to use some cool images!) I made a layout using a cap from the teaser featuring Trumpkin, Lucy, Susan and Edmund. The cap was colorized and edited slightly, but no huge alterations. The color theme for this layout is brown and tan (I do that a lot, don't I?), and the font on header is Scriptina for the capitals and Miss Brooks for the rest. And, of course, the "Layout 3.3" font is 04b21.

Layout 3.4:

Layout 3.4

Just in time for winter, we have a nice mostly black-and-white featuring Mr. Tumnus and Lucy from LWW. It also features the orgin of Sparoom.net's name. The header was made by desaturating the image and fiddling around with different effects. No gigantic alterations here! The color theme for this layout is black, white and red, and the font on the header is Scriptina for the capitals and Miss Brooks for the remainder. The book quotes are in Courier, and, as always the "Layout 3.4" is in 04b21.

Layout 3.5:

Layout 3.4

I was definitely ready for something light and spring-y after the last layout, so I made the next layout themed to the Farewell scene from Prince Caspian. The header features Susan, and was made from two caps that were blended together to elongate the width, and then flipped. The color theme for the layout is light blue and gray, and in a departure from my usual style, the font on the header is JaneAusten. The "tool bar" font is Times New Roman, and the "Layout 3.5" font is 04b21.

Layout 3.6:

Layout 3.4

The goal for this layout was to do a bright, new color scheme never done on Spareoom.net before. And bright yellow certainly counts! I tried to diversify the subject of the header, I really did, but this was the only picture that inspired me. *shrugs* So Susan it is again! The header is made using a still that was color edited and had all sorts of random effects added. The color for the layout is "mellow yellow" and red for accent. The font for the header is a letter brush for the "S", and Adorable for the rest of the name. The "tool bar" font is Times New Roman, and the "Layout 3.6" font is 04b21.

Layout 4.0:

*gasp* It's Layout #10! And it 's layout 4.0! And it actually features a dude! ;) The major change in this layout that warrented a new rating was the fact that I extended the entire layout width from 750 to 900 px, to accomidate an exciting but undisclosed brand-new feature to be coming to a Spareoom.net near you soon. :) This layout features Caspian, and the main color scheme is gray, spring green and blue. The header image is a cap from PC that I took myself that was colorized a bit; but it's very near to the original image. The font in the header is Nadine 2.0, as is all the "image" font around the site. The only font that isn't Nadine is the "Layout 4.0" font, which is 04b21, and the actual site text.

Layout 4.1:

Layout 4.1

This layout was a real quick one; thrown together when I realized that it had been almost a year since I'd changed the layout, and the VdT release was fast approaching. The image is a production still from the VdT film, and it has had very little touching-up done to it. All the text and fonts are exactly the same as the previous layout, as is the header size, layout style, etc. Very little tweaking done. The main colors were purple, blue and dark gray.
