Q: What on earth does "LWW" or "LOTGK" mean?!?!
A: Those are common acronyms for the Chronicles of Narnia books, since they have long titles and its easier to type them that way. Here's a list of frequently used ones:

LWW: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
PC: Prince Caspian
VODT: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
SC: The Silver Chair
MN: The Magician's Nephew
HHB: The Horse and His Boy
LB: The Last Battle

CON: The Chronicles of Narnia
WW: The White Witch
LOTGK: The Lady of the Green Kirtle

Q: Isn't The Magician's Nephew really the first book? Why wasn't that filmed first? I'm so confused!
A: You've a right to be confused. C.S. Lewis wrote the books with LWW being the first, and PC, VODT, SC, HHB, MN and LB following in that order, but several years ago different publishers began to publish them in chronological order (MN, LWW, HHB, PC, VODT, SC, LB), causing great confusion among many people. Walden Media has decided to make the movies in publishing order

Q: How many of the books are they going to turn into movies?
A: No one really knows. Walden Media has stated that they would like to make as many as possible, and as long as the series continue to generate money, they will continue to make them. A lot depends on the success of VodT with it's new distributor and financier, Fox.

Q: Can you give me contact information (i.e. emails) for the cast or crew members?
A: I'm sorry, I don't have any personal contact information for the cast and crew, and even if I did I couldn't give them to you because that would violate their privacy. However, if you're looking for fan mail addresses, I suggest you look on any of their fan sites; they usually have that kind of information available.

Q: What's the latest news on the Narnia franchise?
A: On Christmas Eve 2008, Disney announced that they had decided to drop the Narnia franchise due to PC's under-performing at the box office. The fate of the franchise was uncertain for a month, until it was announced on January 28th 2009 that Fox had joined with Walden Media to produce and finance VodT, and perhaps the rest of the series of VodT was a success.

Q: What's the latest news about VodT?
A: Well, it's going to get made. It has not been officially green-lit yet, but is expected to be soon with filming to commence in the summer of '09 with a '10 holiday release.

Q: Where can I find the latest information about Narnia movies?
A: You may find on occasion that this FAQ page is often outdated. Things change very fast and I can't always update this page as often as I'd like. For the most up-to-date and accurate information, I invite you to visit Narniaweb.com.
