Rishda Tarkaan is a Calormene captain who joins with Shift in a plot to deceive the Narnians and overthrow the country. He is corrupt and does not truly believe in theexistance of Aslan or Tash, as is demonstrated by his flippant call on Tash. When Tash does appear, he is horrified. He offers a group ofDwarves to Tash as a burnt offering, and leads the Calormenes in defense against the Narnian's attack. He latter battles Tirian hand-to-hand and succeeds in getting Tirian to the Stable door, but is pulled in with him. There, he sees Tash and disappears under the arm of theCalormene god when he is banished to "his own place".
