Emeth was born the seventh son of Harpa Tarkaan. He is a Calorman officer who came into Narnia under the command of Rishda Tarkaan. Their plan is to enter battle with the Narnians. When Emeth first hears this, he rejoices. However, when he finds out that he has to go disguised as a merchant (which is shameful dress for a warrior, and the son of a Tarkaan) and that he is to work by lies and trickery, his joy departs from him.
While in Narnia, during one of the midnight meetings beside a stable, he hears that Tash is inside, and as his greatest desire is to look upon the face of Tash, he wishes to go into it. His Captain reluctantly lets him go in, and upon entering the stable, he is surprised to find out that he is in sunlight. He doesn’t know, at the time, that he is in Aslan’s Country. He later meets Aslan, as soon as he sees Him, he believes that Aslan is the true King and God. Aslan tells him that he has actually been serving Aslan all his life, instead of Tash, as he had thought.
Later he meets the seven Kings and Queens of Narnia and the rest of the creatures, and goes further up, and further in with them.
